„For several years, I repeatedly went to this dental practice with the same complaints – receding gums and a pulling sensation in individual teeth. They always said I brushed my teeth too hard, and that was that. But my real, undetected problem was teeth grinding/clenching. After I came to the practice once with acute tooth pain, they fitted me with a night guard. However, this didn't improve my symptoms. I've since switched dentists, and the new dentist just shook his head because the "night guard" was simply a thin splint that essentially made an impression of my teeth and was meant to keep them in place (like after braces). So, the splint didn't help at all; the pressure points were still there even with it. I've now had a new, much thicker splint made at a different practice. And lo and behold – I'm finally pain-free.“
